Dubravka Popović Srdanović
Dubravka Popović Srdanović (1950–2024) was a distinguished professor of general and comparative literature, known for her significant contribution to the study of American poetry and the translation of literary works. She was born on October 31, 1950, in Belgrade, where she completed elementary and high school, and then graduated in 1974 from the Department of General Literature and Literary Theory at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. She was a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš, where she taught General Literature. She also lectured at the Belgrade Academy of Theatre, Film and Television postgraduate studies. She translated several literary works from English, Italian, Spanish and French.
