mf.subject.keywords Second part of the course will be mostly dedicated to geophysical investigations of global phenomena. Place of geophysics in plate tectonics will be discussed. This will be an introduction to seismology (distribution and characteristics of earthquakes connected to different types of plate boundaries), geomagnetism (distribution of geomagnetic anomalies, paleomagnetism) and gravity (distribution of gravity anomalies, isostasy). Part of the lecture will be covering geophysical investigations in former Yugoslavia, especially analysis of gravity anomalies. en_US
