mf.subject.keywords Listening proofs on the large number of civilisations which existed and exist now in Universe, Nobel prize winner Enrico Fermi asked if they are so numerous »Where are they?«. This question, asking why up to now there is no any single trace of an alien technological civilization, is called Fermi paradox. Here, we will review various searches for extraterrestrial inteligence from the first attempt of Frank Drake in 1960 to detect signals of a civilization from Tau Ceti and Epsilon Eridani, and discuss the probability for contact with a developped technological civilisation. Nikolay Kardashev divided cosmical civilizations in three types, which use energy produced on the level of their own planet, stellar system or galaxy. We will a discuss searches for traces of engineering works of civilzations of the second and third type, as well as the probability of developping of intelligent life and of civilizations with cosmical technologies. The questions how frequent may be in our Galaxy civilizations with cosmoc technologies and which is the probability to contact them, will be considered additionally. Finally we will discuss the possible answers to the Fermi paradox, to the question: »Where are they«? en_US
